I have ground hogs that live in the back of our yard and we have all sorts of little critters around. I dilike killing any of Gods creatures , unless they get into the house then its war !!:lol:
I feed them all. My husband gets so upset . He says i'm inviting trouble. I make sure the feed is thrown into the forested area so they can eat and not be harrassed by Kia. She loves to chase them all.:eek2:
 
The destruction to my garden, the tunnels and holes in the yard, the piles of dirt they leave in the yard.....twist your ankle in a mole run one time and you'll want to play the "whack a mole" game too!

We have a problem with groundhogs (Woodchucks). Our horse can break a leg in their holes :eek2:
 
We don't have moles but there was a snake on our screened in back porch the other day. Luckily I saw it before I went out the door and today on our patieo outside the porch Maggie was very interested in the grill...and I found a black snack in a bush not long after that, so I guess she smelled it. I hate snakes, lizards and WOULD just die if my two caught one. But good going Angus and Figaro

Susan..this is off topic..but why does it say "fully registered" under your user name? I have never seen this before.Have you noticed it?

I hate snakes as well..and we do have black snakes here,and although everyone says they are "good snake" as they eat small rodents etc..

The summer before we moved here,I was outside in my lawn chair in the shade,and I was carving a gourd.I bet I sat there a good couple of hours..just a carving with the dremal.Behind me were rows of azalea bushes along the house.

So I get out of my chair,and go inside to start supper,Brian decides he is going to let Earnhardt out,but at the time he had to be walked to potty.So Brian gets his leash,and starts out the front door mind you..and there was the longest black snake he had ever seen...right there were my lawn chair was sitting.

That frippin snake was probably not far from me hiding in cool shrubs,and I never knew it.

We used to get them quite frequently in the gourd gardens.When plants got big enough,and were running all over,Brian never let me out in the garden.As some of the gourd plant leaves were so huge,a snake could easily be under them.
