Bad news about Hadley from Austin

They are such gorgeous puppies! I love the one having a good yawn, so sweet!:smile2: You are doing a great job:biggrin2:
I still think they look more like shelties than anything else too.
Megansmom: when I see baby puppies I can't help but do 'this little piggy' (when they're a bit older) and they go mad on the 'weee weee weee all the way home bit' bouncing about:lol:
(I have not the same need to do it on babies!:rolleyes2:)

Hahaha, how funny!!

She is doing a great job. I'm glad it's not me because I could never part with them after all this. I don't know how all you breeders do it although I suspect knowing they are going to loving homes you have chosen sure helps.

Ha I agree, it has become much better news then the first night when I was scared to death and thinking what on earth am I gonna do with five puppies!!

Here's a cute picture of the one and only little girl:

Also, the story with the owner keeps getting crazier and crazier. I've found out she's been stealing pictures of bengal cats from some website and acting like they are hers, asking for a deposit from people to hold their cat, and then when the time comes either blowing them off or giving them a completely different cat. Someone she did this to hired a detective and I've been conversing w/the detective who believes this is some sort of ring she's involved in and there's lots of other people helping scam too. I found her facebook, finally, and she says under occupation 'I'm a very successful breeder of small animals like pomerianians, yorkies, ****zhu" I bet she's so angry I got her precious Sheltie babies!! (if they are shelties) Either way she would of lied and said they were most likely. I called Animal Control on her yesterday and they are going to see if she has a license to be selling and also to possess the exotic animal she has... can't wait to see what they report back to me!

I have heard of puppy mill breeders doing this. They will take photos from reputable breeders' websites, post it on their site and claim those are their puppies' parents.
This is why it is recommended that if you have a public website, you should watermark or type something on the photos. This way no one can use them.

Great job on following through with this wackjob!

And thanks so much for all that you are doing with the puppies. It is nice to know that they are being well cared for and that their forever homes will be secure.

It's awful there are people like this out there and sadly, I'm sure she's just one of the many. The puppy business must be doing well as she announced on her fb she bought a new landrover! Jeez. Disgusting! I'm shocked she gave her real name out to this person who bought a Bengal from her and that lady deposited a deposit to hold on into her account. This is how we finally tracked down her real name. These people, I must say, are good at what they do. She will get caught eventually. I'm going to call a animal control right now and see what happened as a result of them making a visit.

Also, she left me a voicemail saying she knows where I live and didn't say anything threatening other than listing where I live. Kinda freaked out by that. I think she's trying to get one of the puppies and might be one of the people who responded to the original CL ad and we discussed where I lived. Now I'm worried about that because she could have a friend act like a good person and get one. I will be checking references but again this lady is a pro at scamming. Luckily, I think we have them all placed without having to even go through CL and like people said before, will give them to sheltie rescue before going through CL because there's too many nutty people out there.

Good for you. They are YOUR puppies, not hers, and you can decide how and when you want to let them go and to whom. I think a Sheltie rescue would be a good idea. Just make sure you keep them informed on what has gone on with this woman. Hope she gets found out soon.
