Good for you. They are YOUR puppies, not hers, and you can decide how and when you want to let them go and to whom. I think a Sheltie rescue would be a good idea. Just make sure you keep them informed on what has gone on with this woman. Hope she gets found out soon.
I agree.. And most rescues do a lot of background checks, home visits, etc. before they place the puppy. I have heard many people complain about what they have to go through in order to get a puppy from a rescue, but the sad truth is, they have to because of people like her.
