Baker says hello!

he is 24 weeks old - is it too late to change things now? He was "au natural" from Friday night until tonight and they looked just as they show in the pic.

If it's possible to tip more I am more than willing to try it

No not too late to try. The break is likely not set yet alot of puppy ears look like that when they first come out you just keep working them.

I am counting the average of 4 weeks/month: at 12 weeks we considered Baker to be 3 months old. At 16 weeks he was 4 months...

We will now sart marking the date: 6 months will be 11/10. But I won't be posting pics anymore here - no reason to clutter up SN when only my FB friends comment anyway.

Don't get me wrong - I LOVE this site, and have learned so much here, and want to continue the learning. For example: I recently took Baker to meet a Sheltie breeder friend. Now I know she is interested in maybe using my little guy for future stud service...all new to me

I liked the fall leaves pix- we don't get much in the way of fall color here so it's nice to see sheltie fall pix......

I'm sorry to hear that you think only your FB friends comment on your posts.
while I read all posts, I don't always feel the need to comment/post on all of them but I have posted more than once on this thread. Since I am not on FB, I will miss seeing Baker grow up.

I guess I didn't realize there were maybe people that enjoyed seeing his photos but didn't post anything. I was thinking nobody was bothering to look at them...

Today we are driving 1 1/2 hours for a private obedience lesson. We started a Beginner Obedience class but I walked out 1/2 way through the 3rd class. Even tho I tried to socialize Baker when he was young, he is just so scared in class. It probably doesn't help that most of the other dogs tower over him. (Quite a size difference between a 6-month old Sheltie and 7-8 month old Shepherd, Golden Retriever, labs). The trainer we are going to is awesome - just so far away.

I'm glad you found an awesome trainer. Both my shelties were really timid in puppy class despite lots of early socialisation and exposure. Our classes were also filled with large dog breeds and I think it was just too overwhelming. I really hope you keep the photos coming :smile2:

Great that you found a good trainer. Very important to keep Baker safe and not let him get run over by the big, boisterous puppies. Asta used to hide behind my legs when she was scared in puppy class.

I don't do facebook, but I do look at photos posted here! I just don't comment on everything, either.

I realized recently after our picnic -- how many people really enjoyed the pix off FB (when I posted the blog link). People love Baker -- on and off FB.

Cubby and I are not posting as much as he is just in the teen phase, but when we have events, we are posting for all the see.

Maybe a blog that you can post both as a link to FB and to here. It saves clutter and space and uploading data. It helps I use a laptop all the time though.

I really hope you had fun at training. I think the right setting will work for him.
