Baker says hello!

Baker is looking all grown up too! Such a pretty boy. He will do great in school and you will have another star on your hands.

A couple shots of Baker - one week away from the big 6 month milestone!

After a pretty horrid showing in our first Beginner Obedience class last Monday, we decided more socialization was in order. First stop today was PetSmart - for a nail trim, then some training in the aisles. He hated the trim - glad it was someone else doing it. I want to get him used to being dremeled only - that's what I do for Toby, and did for Trace. Baker's feet are just so darn small - I think my cat has larger paws! I'll keep introducing it slowly when he's on the grooming table. In the mean time...I will gladly hand over a couple bucks to let someone else deal with his nails. (I did play with his toes and nails plenty to get him used to being handled - he still hates the trimming)

Second stop was PetCo. Lots more training and he seemed to be better at focusing on me. Also picked up a new toy to be used as an occasional alternative to treats in class.

Yay! Shopping. I was really off this weekend and didn't train. I have got to work with Cubby today and tomorrow OR ELSE.

I just love his pretty plain sable face! Howdy Baker!!!! There will be a big difference between first class night and the fourth class night. :)

Baker is 24 weeks (6 months) old today!

I am not going to brace his ears any more, but will continue tipping. So far I am very happy with how they are looking.

We met his grandsire this afternoon - beautiful shaded sable. My breeder friend is hoping for a litter soon - will be tempting, but pretty sure I don't ever want to go thru the puppy stage again.

Baker's 2nd night of Beginner Obedience went so much better than the first. His heeling is still way off, but he did his sits, downs & stays beautifully. I just wish the guy with the 70 pound very vocal golden didn't feel the need to pick the spot next to us. That dog let out a loud WOOF in the middle of a sit-stay - even made me jump! Baker flinched a little & looked at the other dog, but didn't break his sit! I was so proud of him! :smile2:

Very cute. May I suggest you tip his ears over a bit more. At that height when you take them out they will relax and go up.
