Baker says hello!

Great that you found a good trainer. Very important to keep Baker safe and not let him get run over by the big, boisterous puppies. Asta used to hide behind my legs when she was scared in puppy class.

I was kind of surprised when, on the first night of class, the trainer seemed a little put off that I didn't want him to join in the "play time" at the end of the class! The big Golden was really playing rough. He was just having fun, and he is a beautiful "puppy" but his 50lbs of puppyness could easily break Baker's tiny bones, or worse.

My private lesson today was awesome - lots of good tips and ideas to help him build confidence. Baker did show some of his fearful side, which I was happy to see so she could understand him better. He also showed some of his intelligent & obedient side, which I was very happy to see! He was extremely proud of himself for running through the BIG DARK tunnel without any coaxing - on the 3rd time. lol

He is napping now - a busy day for him, so I'll get some photos later. Wish he would give a really big smile so everyone could see that he lost 2 more teeth! :biggrin2:

finding the right class/trainer is very important but it can be hard when there aren't many options. Destin was probably 6 months before he got into an obedience class. I honestly can't remember what the other breeds were in the class- but our classes were outside so you could give yourself more space if your pup needed it. pretty much everything was on leash so no out of control running around.
now his agility class..... he's the one running around out of control:rolleyes2:

Here's some pics from yesterday (25 weeks). It is so nice that Baker will now sit (or chill) for photos. Toby is one of the happiest dogs I've ever seen, but rarely does that come off in photos.

For some reason Baker's ears look barely tipped in most shots - thus the reason for the fuzzy head shot. I don't know if it's the coloring that creates the illusion or what. In real life I think they are looking pretty good.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday!

Great pictures.......very handsome boys.

I love the "stink eye" Toby is giving in the 2nd picture!

Thanks for sharing them with us.

Happy Sunday everyone!

Here's a couple snapshots of Baker yesterday, at 26 weeks. I will sure be glad when he is done chewing on Toby - as will Toby. He has been such a trooper.

Oh no! I was hoping that would phase out soon...

well, it's not as much as when Jocu was younger but does still happen. Jocu does leave him alone when I tell him to- for a while........
now if Cran had ever told him off, he probably wouldn't still be doing it. Cran is very tolerant of the younger boys:wink2:
