Beautiful sable Ohio pound left behind - Moe

Maida, just happy that Moe is safe. Yes, I did think about adopting him.

Dawn, hey there to you. Good to see you. Oh my, my heart is wide open.

To all of you who reside in Ohio and are close to Hamilton, I just know that PSSR would love some help/volunteers as they are sure full at the moment. Just thought that I would put it out there even if you just stop by to say hello.

What Hamilton are you speaking of? There's a Hamilton in Ontario too.

Central Ohio Sheltie Rescue posted this on Facebook:

"For those of you that are posting and cross posting about Moe the sheltie in St. Clairsville, OH.... You can stop...they do not want help from rescue at this time. So, all that is doing is annoying them which makes it that much more difficult to rescue him. We do not want them pissed off...**** off the shelter and sometimes they will euthanize rather than give the dogs to rescue. I'm not saying this one does...but we've had others that have over the years. So, please stop cross posting that one and allow us to monitor it. Thanks...we have someone near by watching the situation. Sometimes these shelters will find them good homes too. Let's give them a chance."

It sounds to me that he may still be up for adoption in Ohio.

So that is why I was a bit uneasy. One other sheltie rescue had emailed me and said that the shelter declined to give him to rescue because he was doing fine in the shelter. Than another sheltie rescue told me he was being transported to sheltie rescue. So maybe he is still there. I find it very upsetting that any dog would get euthanized because the shelter got mad. This has actually happened? That is animal cruelty. You would think they would be happy with people interested in adopting Moe. If he is still in the shelter I would advise those who wanted to adopt him to contact them and fill out an application for adoption. They do out of state adoptions. Only want the best for Moe.

Yes, you would think that someone would have reported the shelters who would kill, rather than respond to those who would have a dog rescued.

I called about Moe, left my number and emailed but did not get a response back. Guess I will back off if that might offend as well. Hard to know what to do now? Don't want the little guy in jeopardy but I certainly am puzzled as to why he is still listed at the facilities in St. Clairsville Ohio.

I looked on central ohios sheltie rescue facebook page and I believe they said he was adopted but was shaved also.!? I don't know what to think. If it was him that got adopted. If so he will be off petfinder. Why would they shave him?

Where's Moe?

Accurate information is always helpful with furkid placement. Right now, it seems as though Moe is in limbo. (Limbo, Ohio?) Or is that redundant? Anyway, it would be a real shame if the folks in St. Clairesville were aggravated by all the concern for Moe, though I can understand the potential mayhem they'd have to deal with when so many folks are interested. I just hope Moe is in loving hands.
I would like to know where he is.

Prayers going up for Moe.

Lord, please continue to watch over Moe and guide him to where he is supposed to be. I thank you.

Moe update

St. Clairsville Ohio just called us and they said to put in an application if you want Moe. He is still there!!!

Moe is safe!

Anyone interested, please fill out an app online at www.bcarl.org it takes you to the application process.
