The Duck Skinz is a winner as well. It's got squeeks at the head and tail, and the two wings just make for extra tugging (perfect when you've got two pups).

These toys hold up unbelievably!

Beyond that: small tennis balls, soft frizbees.

I don't think of "food" kongs as toys, so much as pacifiers. But the wubba kong, and the kong rope toys are pretty good too.

Lexi's favorite toys are...anything that moves?

Bentley's favorite toy (the ONLY thing he likes to play with) is my feet!

But you guys have convinced me...we need the holee roller!

I would love to buy SNickers the 8 squeaker alligator. but to spend 15 bucks and have it torn apart in 2 days lol... isnt worth it.

$15.00 is alot..but I sat here thinking of all the toys,that we have bought that either tear in one play session,or have bought "thinking oh..that's cute" and they could give a rip about.

Then there are the ones that are stashed for hopefully later (Tug-A-Jug) that was $18.00 with shipping,and Trapp could care less about it cause he can't get food out of. Poor dog would starve before he got one piece of kibble out of it.

I would spend $15.00 on a toy that totally kept two puppies busy,and lasted as well as these Skinz or in all possibility,that alligator. It looks like it would with stand some good hard tugging.

We should have a toy swap! Kinda like pass to someone else a toy that your babe did not like,in exchange for a toy that you have in stash.

Ahhh the one I have is dracula and it was heavily reduced in price. I got it a week or two after halloween. Actually, Bailey picked it out herself. She pulled it off the rack at petsmart and was carrying it around the store. How could I say no???

Here's how I think of it: toys are an investment on keeping my house and clothes in one piece. Yes, Buffy has a lot of toys... but she has never chewed any furniture or clothes. My friend's dog has chewed 6 shoes! (not even pairs... so really it's like losing 12 shoes) I would rather spend $15 on a good toy that makes her quiet and well-behaved.

I am in favor of the toy swap but actually Buffy has liked most of her toys except for the tennis balls. It's treats where she is picky. I finally dropped off a bunch of treats at the shelter the other day because little Miss Princess is so picky (and mayyybe a little spoiled)....

Once she gets the right treat, she is a dream to train, though!

Kind of reminds me of a sweet memory of Earnhardt at a flea market.He was about 6-7 months old.we were walking along,and came up on a vender that had a load of stuffed animals for sale.
Many of the larger ones were on tarps on the ground.So Earnie wanders over,does a good sniff,and singles out a stuffed Scoobie Doo dog.He puts it in his mouth,and he wants to continue.So Brian said to the guy..how much you want for Scooby Doo?
The guy said to Brian,well you can have it sir,cause obviously your lab loves it.

Well its almost 6 years now,and Earnhardt still has his Scooby Doo,and sucks on it every night.

I used to take Diva to Petsmart every week for socialization. Each week, we would walk down the toy aisle and she would grab a blue stuff dragon off the shelf. It was $15 too much to spend so I thought. Well, the 4th week in a row she grabs the dragon, I brought it. It is still one of her favorite toys. It is rereinforced with mesh so its hard to chew up.

awww thats a great story!!!! and WOW he lasted 6 years!!

It's looking pretty nasty.As it has been washed a gadzillion times.It has no stuffing,and the head is nasty from being sucked on for so long.

A couple of years ago,I got the notion to look for a new one,which I did find one on Ebay.
I bought it,gave it to him,and packed the original one away.Earnie wanted no part of the new one. So we made a switch,gave him the old one back.

Don't know what it is,but he will suck on that thing,then totally relax,and fall fast asleep.
The funny thing is,Trapp & Jasper leave it alone.And any foster pup we had in our home never messed with it either.They don't even try to wrestle him for it.

Kong also makes a puppy pacifier that our lab mix Luna LOVED while she was losing her baby teeth and getting her big girl teeth. It is made of a softer rubber that they can teeth on. Keep an eye on her while she has it, as it can be chewed up when she gets older.
