Black on Black + White on White -a review

I don't think the WoW does anything to the colored parts - it doesn't bleach the fur. I've been using it (or the equivalent, there are a lot of "blue shampoos" out there) for years on legs and ruffs before shows, and haven't seen a need to be careful to keep it off the sable fur.

of course, why don't you ask me about the time I tried to use white minx directly on the slightly-yellowed parts of a ruff the night before a show... The poor dog came out looking like a little old lady with blue hair! I managed to get most of it out, but she still had a, um, bluish cast the next day. Mom was not happy!

I suppose there's no photographic evidence?
then it didn't happen :biggrin2:

Just a tip, the blue shampoos work best if you lather it in and leave it on for a few minutes (some products say up to 15 minutes) instead of rinsing right away. If you lather the white parts, then lather and rinse the non-white with regular shampoo, then rinse out the WoW, it should have a good amount of time to work in. (I like to do "first on, first off" - lather back legs, lather front, lather ruff, then rinse in the same order - but maybe I'm overthinking it.)

Good tip. Thanks!

I do all of Sca with white on white his white is dazzling and his black shimmers. I am 100% happy with it and you can ask opinions of those that attended the southern get together at MBFrench's as I gave him a bath the night before.

Ooooh... Sca WAS beautiful. Maybe I'll have to get a multi-pack and experiment. It will take months, though, since I bathe my dogs every 4-8 weeks unless they get really dirty somewhere in the middle.

White Minx... I think my mother uses that...

Maybe! I won't for a few months at least, though. I'm not 100% her skin issues are gone for good, so I'm sticking with the oatmeal shampoo for her skin. Her white does sometimes have a yellow-ish cast to it, though. Some of my reading told me this has to do with her natural coloring, but I don't see the harm in getting it a little brighter.

Ok, dumb question.....

You have a tri with a white ruff.

I'm sorry Barb. I read that and started laughing. Why...yes. My tri does have a white ruff. Thanks so much for noticing. :biggrin2:

You know I am only joking.

I tried my best to keep the BoB off of Fluffy's white parts. Remember though, BoB is not a color tinted shampoo. Neither is WoW a bleaching shampoo. I honestly don't know what would happen if you got the BoB on the white of a sheltie.

I gave Bailey a bath yesterday with Chris Christian's shampoos. As per Tofu Pup'd suggestion, I first applied white on white to Bailey's white fur. I let that sit for 5 minutes and then I applied the thicker and thicker shampoo. I massaged it into Bailey fur and let it sit for a few minutes. Then I rinsed it all off. After, I applied the after bath, rinsed it off, dried Bailey, then sprayed ice on ice and brushed her. Despite jumping out of the tub 3 times and rolling around on my bed while still wet, she was pretty good. Here's a few pictures of Bailey all clean and pretty. Her fur is very soft and fluffy. Her white fur looks so clean and bright. And she smells great.

I also use it on Trapp, and could not be more pleased with it.I have quite a supply of Bio-Groom here also, and thier version of a whiting shampoo, but have'nt used it as yet, because I still have CC products.

In his first few baths,.I actually used it on his whole body, and I loved how he looked.

But when you see a dog, with such contrast as Sca,and knowing that CC is used on him,he looked awesome.

I would not think the CC prduct would hurt her, unless she has skin issues that need healing.I'm sure she will sparkle after a bath with it.I hope in time u are able to give it a try~
