Can Someone Recommend a Slicker Brush?

Don't be fooled that this is listed under cat supplies:

http://www.petdesheddingtools.com/cat-supplies/cat-brushes.html

This is where I ended up buying mine from. I'll let everybody know how it went. Last March when I made an online purchase somebody got my debit card number and wiped my bank account clean. It took me months to get everything back in order. So I am VERY picky about the websites I buy from. I ordered it last night so as soon as I get it in I'll give a review.

Great link! I'll need to check to see if they ship to Canada!

The only thing that kept me from buying from that website was the fact that they have a $25 minimum order and a $5 handling fee. I only wanted the brush. :uhoh: I guess I could have ordered dog shampoo, but I've got enough dog shampoo to give every dog on the forum a bath!

I got my slicker in fast! :eek2: I somehow ended up with a medium, and I could have sworn I ordered a small. :uhoh: Oh well.

Anywho, I'm not trying it out for a little bit longer. I bought it for Mr. Smudge's birthday. I bought a bone shaped basket, and I am making him a birthday basket filled with all kinds of random dog stuff.

The picture is bad because I took it with my phone.

Good luck with it!

Medium is what you want.

I still like the little triangle brush though for ears.

Glad you got your slicker brush - looks good.

Tip for when buying on line - watch the address in the heading for https rather than http - https is to be a secure webiste, http is not.

Haha! I might have to try his birthday present out on Fluff!

That sounds like a better idea. I am not so sure my dogs would appreciate a slicker for their birthday....as they are not so fond of them  But a slicker used on their sister for their birthday would be an entirely different story :wink2:

I think my pups would be terribly upset if I bought them a grooming torture tool for their birthday! I'm sure I would be reported to the SUBU

That slicker looks great, one day I will get a new one,but I use the one I have alot.

Off topic..I did find a nice palm boars head brush.I love this brush,it really does finish them nicely.

Ya'll won't believe this, but I have been doing lots of reading on ingrediants on shampoo's,conditioners, etc, etc. We have a huge section both in our walmarts & also the store where I work, that cater to women & men of color. I actually got a mans boar brush.

The shampoo's,etc, are all pretty much so organic & pure. The conditioners are fabulous. So I have bought a few items, and will be testing them out on the pups.Alot of these products have no chemical,or additives, more or less pure organic stuff,I figure it was worth a try.
