Checkers is out of surgery! Vet said she did fine and they used the absolute minimum anesthesia so she's sitting up already. They couldn't get wide margins because of where the lump was on her jaw, so we have to hope they got it all. Now we wait for the biopsy results. I'll be able to pick her up in a few hours. Can't wait to have her home! Thanks to everyone for your good thoughts, prayers and wishes!!

So thankful to hear she came through it well. Just having her home again will feel like a victory. All fingers crossed they got it all out. I know the wait for the biopsy report will be hard on you.

Ann, we knew that Checkers was one tough cookie and would do fine...but getting confirmation of that fact is wonderful!!!!!!!!! Gentle hugs to your precious girl...she will be so happy to get home...and you will be so happy to have her back where she belongs.
