I already had ruffwear booties from hiking so I didn't need to buy them (I did purchase more later)... but FYI you can buy them in pairs and amazon can ship quick. The summit trex is cheaper and I use them for Gavin on linoleum. Front paws are bigger than rear paws so you often have different sizes; you are best wearing them on both front paws as opposed to just one. I also have dog socks with the non slip bits, toddler socks are cheaper and I have those too.
I also bough a larger crate/playpen type thing for Gavin. this was the bigger one <https://www.ebay.com/itm/New-BestPe...o5Zr0JRp3JC-eYJV8kMw:rk:3:pf:1&frcectupt=true>, i also got one just big enough for his round dog bed. Since he was on limited movement for a long time it was easier than a crate and not as size prohibitive as an ex-pen (they are easy to move, can easily stick in a corner in the bedroom) and the tops mean he couldn't try and jump out.
Sadly, the vet never gave me warning to buy these BEFORE they were needed so I had to make due until amazon and/or ebay could come to the rescue!
