Chewed martingale collar

I'm guessing I put Darla's new martingale collar on way too loose as she managed to chew through it in about 15 minutes!!

She's only 6 months too, should I wait till she's older before purchasing another one which will fit better as she'll be bigger?
 
I bought Buddy an inexpensive adjustable Martingale collar when he was about 6 months old. It still fits him fine, although I've definitely adjusted it to be larger. You can get them pretty cheap at PetCo or PetSmart. Then you can get her a new one that you really like when she's full grown, or keep the old one if you still like it.
 
I don't know if most people feel this way, but I don't like to leave a martingale collar on my dogs at all times. They are in their crates a lot, and I've heard horror stories about collars/tags getting stuck and well you get the idea.

My dogs don't wear any collars in the house, and they get their regular collars put on if we go on a trip or go out, and they get their martingale collars put on if we are taking them for a walk.

But to answer your original question, I'd probably go with something cheap for now. If you want something cuter, you can try Lupine collars. I think they make martingales, and they have a lifetime guarantee--even if your dog chews it!
 
Our Zoey chewed through two collars, two nylon Frisbees and a leash (all because we (stupid humans) left them where she could get to it without supervision. That was months ago when she was going through her puppy phase. She's nearly 3 years old now and much gentler on her play toys.

I agree with the post about not leaving a martingale on the pup if you crate them as they can get caught on the crate and choke.
