YES the grains are good grains...but some people prefer to feed grain free(highly discussed controversial topic here on the forum )
It is a very good food. You should feed them with confidence.
I would personally think that all the 5 and 6 star foods on that dog food review site would be excellent choices for our furbabies. If they like it and have good poos and no reactions... i say you are doing well.
There are too many people in the world feeding their dogs grocery store foods (i used to be one of them) and here we are trying to compare the best of the best.

It's for bladder health, but they lost their fur and the majority of weight (which was fine on our larger cats, but the smaller ones were TOO thin). Their fur was falling out in clumps, and the underside of several cats were completely bald.
For some reason, they also had horrible kidney infections.

I think a large part of it was that it just absolutely didn't agree with my animals. With some, they never have any issues.

. There may have been something else going on besides a severe reaction to the food though, maybe!?Anyway, glad you found something that works

Chances are, when food changes take place and issues suddenly pop up, it is the food.
A large number of the ingredients listed for that c/d food are known to cause allergic reactions in dogs, and probably with the cats, who are meant to be carnivores, there isn't enough meat present either, and the meat that is present isn't high quality meat (by products, fat). Not to mention corn is hard for their bodies to process...

I would say that's mostly true, but everyone should do their homework and make their own decision regarding high protein diets.
I don't think there is any controversy over grain-free diets or food with grain. I think the controversy is in what kind of grain is good or bad.

i just meant that some of the forum folks are totally against any kind of grains and i believe the grains in Chicken Soup are "good grains".(once again just my opinion). I guess it really depends on how your pup reacts to them.
and i 100% agree with doing some homework and making your own decision.
I did lots of homework and found a food that pleases me and my pup (so far) paws and fingers crossed!!
I dont want to influence anyone one way or the other ... but I will say all the topics and intelligent discussion here on the forum with everyone helped me make an informed decision. So thank you all for your input and support.
