Coconut oil- :)

Hi Dr. Shelli! I was reading through the posts on coconut oil for dogs. I was very interested in your post. Is there a particular brand that would be better than others? Are there any that should be avoided?
 
I'm a big fan too! For all the reasons said.

The only complaint I ever had was its pasty texture makes it hard to spread on food. So you do have to nuke it a little to soften. Just one more step to feeding! :rolleyes2:
 
Thanks for the reply Barb. I will keep that in mind. I guess one more step to feeding won't hurt me, but might be good for them. :smile2:
 
I was giving Zak benedryl for allergies and for the past few weeks have added Coconut oil and have stopped the benedryl. I do think the the tree's have stopped blooming and that has helped but he has pretty much stopped biting at his feet.
I will continue it now and for both of them.

I get a good one at a health food store but today I looked at the Coco Therapy web site it was very informative.
