Colon Cancer

Oh, Michele...I'm so sorry. We knew that the prognosis was not good, but I did not think it would progress so fast. I suppose you could say it was a blessing that Dakota did not live long in pain, but anyone who has lost a dog knows that you are NEVER ready for their passing.

Hugs to you and your family!

Barb, I think some confusion.

Dakota was owned by Becky's parents.
Becky was the young lady that brought True home for her hubby as a birthday gift.

I recieved an email from Becky this afternoon, letting Brian & I know about Dakota. We've been keeping in touch thru FaceBook in private emails. As we also knew her mom had surgery recently.

Becky gave her permission, for me to let all of you know.As she knows everyone here has kept Dakota in thought & prayer these last few months.

Michelle, thank you for relaying the sad news.

I hope that Becky and her family find comfort in their memories of Dakota. He was a brave boy, who fought long and hard, and he is now resting and playing at the Rainbow Bridge.

Thank you, Michele. Dakota has been on my mind, having just lost Ivy to cancer a week ago tonight. Please tell Becky how sorry we are and that she is in our thoughts and prayers. There are just no words to express the feeling of having to let them go. I wish them strength and peace, and time to heal.

You are right, I lost track. For some reason, I thought Dakota was owned by your parents.

This forum has started to grow so much! So many people, so many Shelties.

Please give hugs Becky

I am so sorry to hear about Dakota. He is now enjoying a wonderful life at Rainbow Bridge and will meet Becky and her husband there.

Thinking of them at this difficult time.

I have emailed Becky to let her know that everyone here is keeping her & her family in thier thoughts and prayers.

Please tell Becky that Dakota and her parents have been our prayers here at Nattering Springs. We send our deepest condolences.

My deepest condolances to Becky and her family for the loss of Dakota. You can tell he was loved dearly.
