Contacting a Breeder - Should I?

I'm trying not to get too excited in case it doesn't work out (too late!) but the breeder has a litter of 3 week olds. Its a small litter, and too early to know if any will be available to a non-show home. Anyway, I think I will buy most of the stuff on my puppy shopping list. That way whenever I do get a puppy, I'll be ready.

No news on the puppies. I am having a very very hard time not going crazy waiting!! Its so hard not knowing if one of these puppies will be mine.

I am going ahead with preparations just in case. I am installing a puppy gate and buying puppy stuff right now. I have on my shopping list: X-pen (I already have a wire crate), soft travel crate because I will have to fly to bring puppy home, kongs and other chew toys, various tug toys and balls, long line, soft leash, bed, various towels & blankets, and maybe puppy pads to go in the X-pen. I already have a collar (hope it fits!), and food & water bowls.

It's so hard to wait!!! Good luck!

I got a new video of the puppies!! Yay! They are adorable and already so playful and bouncy - 4 weeks old.
I watched the video multiple times, then I watched it in slow motion so that I can see all the tiny details and make it last longer! Am I the only one who is this crazy??

lol I wish mine had sent a video, but I did get weekly pictures both group and individuals. I would study them over and over again (7 in the litter). No you aren’t crazy...you have puppy fever :)

Nope, it's definitely just a case of puppy fever. So fun to look at them all and dream about which might be yours. We vacation at a ranch in Missouri almost every year; they have Australian Cattle Dogs, or heelers as they call them. One year both bitches had litters 3 days apart and there were THIRTEEN adorable puppies running around. It was so fun to see their different personalities, they were about 9 weeks old. My hubby and I picked out a favorite boy (!!! usually we love the girls), and even named him. He was a doll. It was hard to leave without him, but he was adopted by a great family and they even kept the name we had chosen!

Hopefully it all works out. I could not find a sheltie and we now have a mini australian sheperd. I should
call him Velcro. They are 24/7 for entertainment. So much fun. Buck is so intelligent. He potty broke
right away and loves to play. 48221229982_34e3716a40.jpg
Really made me sad at first that I could not find a sheltie around here. My vets don't even see hardly any. LOL
I think I dropped his picture ok.
