Costumes...honestely?!

Not a supplier for my store but a supplier for ALL the stores.

And yes, this is the reason why I'm asking because the stores get a better margin if we committ to early volumes.

Not being a Halloween person myself (I've been known to turn off the lights and hide), its difficult for me to guage how big an event this is for dog owners.

Hence my question.

So let me phrase it differently....forget the link....how many of your would dress up your dog AT ALL for Halloween?

Barb, why not set up a poll?

I did think about setting up a poll, but realized it was actually a two part question:

1) Would I dress up my dog?
2) Would I dress up my dog in these costumes?

On number 2, I decided NO to these costumes. As was pointed out....as cute as they are they completely cover the dogs head. How uncomfortable is that! Though, I recognize for Sheltie owners, having the ears covered during the incessant doorbell ringing may be an advantage

On number 1, I think I will go with the traditional garb. And yes, although being a supporter of the SUBU position on Halloween costumes in the past, I'm now asking for SUBU disposition to employ Indy and Bacca as models at the store. I promise they will receive full and complete pay for services rendered.

p.s. I know this generated some laughs, but it really was a serious question to begin with, and I thank everyone for your responses. :smile2:

OMG! That is so well done! (Like many on the forum, I miss the days when kids made their own costumes from scraps in the parents basement) and did not show up in bought costumes from the dollar store.

As much as I don't dress up my own dogs, if I would do it, it would be this!

thank you- wish the parade judges had appreciated it as much as everyone here.
haven't done the pups yet- Halloween hasn't been in the schedule recently.

Say yeah or neah! How many of you would actually spend the money to dress up your dogs for Halloween?

p.s. I think the butterfly is particularly cute! LOL!

Yeah, I know its early but I'm being asked for inventory purposes.

And btw, I am the halloween grinch... I would never dress my dogs and would sooner go into hiding on Halloween night!

I wont dress up my dog for Halloween.

I promised Beau that if he put up with the humiliation of my singing to him in public, I would never ever publicly humiliate him by dressing him up in clothes. he probably wouldn't put up with it anyways

call the SUBU

first of all, looking at cute guys is NEVER off topic

i hate to say just how many times, when my grandson was a teen, how many times he took one of the dogs for a walk, so the girls would look at him.

i have not really dressed up my girls. people would suggest, when Suzi was with me, to have like a bandana for her to wear. i told them, as she is/was a service dog, i was not going to try and make her ''cute'' she had her vest, she had a job.

now i did cheat with my american eskimo, i would tell people she was going as Casper.

i do use holiday leashes and such.
