Costumes...honestely?!

Indie only has had 2 costumes. One was a devil - I put a red cape and horns on him. But he took revenge on the horns when I put them down on a chair. RIP

His second costume which I just got last year is a headless horseman with the pumpkin head in hand. It's hilarious! It's on a little saddle and I just strap it on Indie.
I think the full costumes that Barb is showing are a bit too much for me and Indie :o

I have some wonderful handmade outfits I got from a friend. We do the town pet costume contest -- last year, we won! Of course, many of you saw the shots from the Valentine Victorian High Tea, a moment of insanity I hope to repeat. And this year, for the town 4th of July Parade, Layla and I are riding in the Vibrant Pets Hupmobile with Lee -- all dressed up, of course!

Yeah, I do outfits!!! :biggrin2:

No, we wouldn't dress our dog up for Halloween... but then, we don't even dress ourselves up. We're not anti-Halloween, we just currently don't really have a reason to participate. No kids of our own in the house, and no trick-or-treaters come to the door, and we're not party-goers, so Halloween passes us by without notice.

Now, the day AFTER Halloween, we're all over the leftover candy sales... but we pass the leftover costumes (dog and human alike) without a second glance, I'm afraid.

I wish I had dogs when I was small, I would definitely have dressed them up but now I'm in my 20s I think people would look at me funny. Maybe when I'm older and have kids so I have an excuse.

Though I can't really resist Santa jackets and reindeer antlers and things like that. I'll only ever get them in the €2 shop, I don't think I'd ever pay real money for one

I'm in my early thirties and have no kids. People already think I'm crazy to have three shelties, I don't think its that much more surprising to see them in costumes once a year.

My husband and I LOVE halloween! I decorate the porch as much as I have time for and a little in the house (used to decorate a lot in the house when I wasn't disabled). We always get a ton of trick-or-treaters and of course, my Shelties always have a costume on! Everyone who comes to the door just loves my kids and my kids love all the attention. I have bought a lot of costumes, some for dogs, some for small children for them. I have a lot to choose from.

When I worked at the veterinary clinic I decorated for Halloween too. I brought in costumes I had bought and would put them on the dogs who were there boarding and take pictures for the owners. We then began having a Halloween Pet Costume contest every year there. We would ask people to bring in pictures of their pets in costumes, or we would dress them up. We put the pictures up on the wall and voted on the best one. Then the pet would get a big bag of food as the prize. It was great fun for everyone. I wish I was as creative as some of the owners but I never had enough time for everything.

I think Halloween is a great time to get creative and have a lot of fun.:wink2:

Say yeah or neah! How many of you would actually spend the money to dress up your dogs for Halloween?

p.s. I think the butterfly is particularly cute! LOL!

Yeah, I know its early but I'm being asked for inventory purposes.

And btw, I am the halloween grinch... I would never dress my dogs and would sooner go into hiding on Halloween night!

Is this a supplier for your store by chance? I actually went to the website, and requested a catalog. They said free... and I like to brouse,so I filled out all the info.
My heavens today my phone rings from them, telling me they are happy in my interest in thier products.etc..etc..

Good golly,ya need a 2,500 opening order to do buisness with them on a retail/store level/private ownership. The guy was nice, and is still a sending a book. to funny~

Thanks for the all the feedback....

To answer Michele first....yes, this is store supplier. I'm being asked to make a committment to buy a certain quantity which is why I'm asking the question. I get a margin discount if I order early.

As some of you know, I'm anti-Halloween. Not for religious reasons, but simply because I've always found it to be a totally commercial event....and now, I suddenly find myself on the commercial side......And yeah, Indy and Bacca may actually have to dress up this year! LOL!
