Cranberry in AL

Love the new pictures. He's a cutie and looks like a lot of fun. He looks like he's losing a little bit of the merle color.

Nice to read the updates on Cranberyy. His coloring does seem to be fading somewhat... though I do feel that it will be still quite prominant as an adult. I will try to post a picture of Cranberry's cousin in a bit...Macy's half sister had a pretty sable merle... extremely striking and just a leg away from getting his agillity title.

so, the story goes, Sheltieluver posted the day after the pups were born. As soon as I saw the pic, I contacted her and said I was interested in the sable merle. so we all threw out name suggestions in the thread and for a short time, Cranberry was Pumpkin. Then Sheltieluver contacted me and said if I was serious about getting him- I could name him. so he very quickly got his forever name and has been called Cranberry on here ever since.
He is so cute - someday the adult dogs will appreciate him

Awwww.....that is cute. So Cranberry has been and forever will be Cranberry. Awesome!

Yes, I noticed the change in his colouring as well! The "mottling' is mostly gone, and except for the blue eyes, you would think that he was a sable.

I can't wait to see how he grows out!

Love the one with the paws in the water....that is one thing Zak has not done yet!!! She is just adorable, love the blue eye.

He was in Callie's empty food bowl- that's why she's giving him the evil eye. The water bowls are in the kitchen- but he has stepped in them too- just don't actually have a pic of that.

if we're lucky, maybe new pix tonight

Seeing Cranberry with his paws in the dish reminded me of something Dana Quinney of Clan Duncan said in the history pages on her web site.

"... Pow loved water. If your Sheltie likes to splash in puddles or swim, if your puppies can sometimes be found sleeping IN the water dish, perhaps it's that dash of Pow back there ..."

Is Pow (Am./Can. Ch. Cherden Sock It To "Em CD) way back there in Cranberry's pedigree?

I'll have to check into that. I can tell you that he's not afraid of water- we've had some rain since he came home and it doesn't bother him at all. Even when I met Sheltieluver to pick him up- it was raining and there was some water in the parking lot- he didn't care that he was standing in it. made me glad that I keep towels in the car though
