Crazy puppy!

Blueberry got brushed this evening...a bit of a fight getting her on her side (this was the second time I’ve done this) but easier than last time. With all her fur she needs to be brushed often. She had a couple of minor knots in her hind end and OMG the crying...I very gently combed them out, didn’t want it to get worse! She got lots of treats during this time...chicken is her favourite!
I think I’m going to have to let her pee in the house on her pee pads for another week. It’s not that cold out (to me of course) but she HATES going outside to pee and is so reserved afterwards. I don’t want to detract from her bonding with me. At least she goes consistently on the pads...she sometimes misses with her poop but that’s only because her back end isn’t over it. Pretty smart girl, I didn’t train her to do this although she was litter box trained.

Your exactly right about Finnie...here he is loving that he’s got his bed right now lol. He’s willing to put up with her just to have his favourite spot!image.jpg

I haven't brushed tons of shelties but I have brushed my biblue, my friend's biblue and her blue merle- they've all been drama queens when it comes to brushing and knots....................:rolleyes2::eek2::gaah

Whether it’s doing her nails, brushing her or even just holding her initially you’d think you were hurting her! She’s actually very much like Piper was as a pup..very independent, no one is their boss.un huh...I’m your boss lol. Good thing she’s a food hound (OMG she’s a piggy lol) so getting her on her side, holding her, brushing her and doing her nails are done with plenty of treats and playing afterwards. Next is working her to get used to a leash. Puppies are a lot of work, good thing I have 2 weeks off!
