Daisy very sick

If you live in Austin -- Riverside Vet is the best, affordable vet there. His prices are so great and a lot of times, if you're a repeated customer, he lets things go for free.

I doubt the chicken did that. It probably was something she picked up on her paws... no worries, we all get sick! :) Now she will be better equipped to deal with the germs in the future and you won't have to worry about it again.

I have a great vet....who was recommendated by the county animal control officer. Very reasonable, will hold checks for payment, plus take payments if necessary. The two vets there are wonderful....care more about animals than people! As I mentioned, they let Daisy been seen first this morning with no appointment. But thank you for the suggestion....but I've been going to this vet for years, and wouldn't change.

Well, darn it sounds like I should have asked you for a recommendation! ;) Glad to hear that!!

Oh, I just read your post! I am praying for both you and Daisy! I know how terrible it is to wait on pins and needles to hear news about our babies.

Prayers sent for you and Daisy. Chicken strips .... Hmmm... Too much of a good thing maybe. Danny got sick at Easter because relatives kept feeding him ham pieces. I never would have thought chicken would do this ... When dogs get sick we feed them chicken and rice. Hugs to you.:hugs

I gave Daisy white rice with chicken yesterday morning....it all came back up. Usually that's what I thought was the standard. And not chicken strips with breading....poached, boneless, skinless chicken pieces...so I am kinda confused as to why she got sick. She gets NO PEOPLE FOOD, except frozen green beans and the poached chicken as treats. Never anything I am eating.

Thanks for the prayers....I appreciate them.

I'm sending my thoughts and prayers so that she recovers well and quickly.

Poor Daisy and poor you and please don't be so hard on yourself, I really don't think the boneless poached chicken has caused this. It's so hard to see them be sick. I'll pray for good news for you at 4hPM for when you call your vet.

I understand your worry, as I went through something similar with Greyson. Try to get some rest, she will be home before you know it! And don't blame yourself, I highly doubt it was the chicken that caused this! Wishing Daisy a speedy recovery! :hugs

My vet called....he wants to keep her overnight. They have started forcing liquids down her....he wants me to call in an hour. Sorry if I am not optimistic....
