Dental Water Additive

Any water additive will not work magically on its own. All the additive does is loosen up the tartar to make it easier to scrape off.

So you either have to start brushing teeth, or finding a chew that will get your dog gnawing aggressively. Bones are great, antlers too.....(though I find that Shelties generally have little interest in them, other breeds love them!) Bully sticks work well too.

I am challenged that Bacca just has no interest in treats at all. I think I find one and then he decides he doesn't like it anymore. I keep experimenting!
 
They have Nylabones to chew on. I'm going to also eventually get them meaty bones (raw hide is just too messy).

Thanks! I'll definitely check those out. I also like the sound of the moose powder. Maybe that'll get picky eater Sarah to be more interested in her food.

No its won't remove the tartar on its own. It LOOSENS the tartar so that it easier scraped off with either bone, chew or teeth brushing...

Again, they have nylabones. Apparently it didn't loosen the tarter enough.
 
Maybe they are not chewing aggressively enough on the Nylabones? I sell them in my store, but personally I often wonder why people buy them. I can't really see the appeal to the dog.

There are so many better chews out there....Even some stuffies provide better dental chew! Tuffy's for example....

Bully sticks, Whimzees, split antlers (I specifically say the split antlers because the marrow is easily accessible to encourage the chew), Everest Cheese Chews, bones of any kind (raw, smoked), all are good to get them gnawing away. Greenies are fine too, but I'm a little suspect of the ingredients yet. They improved over the last few years but I would recommend a Whimzee first. Blue Buffaloe has also just introduced a good dental bar as well.
