Ember is hands down the smart dog I have ever had and I have had some really smart ones. The dog I taught scent artilces for Utility start to finish plus proofing in 1 week. 
Also the dog I sat with the dumbbell in front of her nose and other hand on her collar for 30 mintues(just sitting there) until she decided open her mouth to take it when I was training her to retrieve.
