It feels so good to help out a neighbor, especially when it involves Shelties!
Long story short as I can make it: A couple a few streets over also had two shelties, breeder retires. Husband dropped over dead from massive heart attack about 6 months ago, then the male sheltie had to be put down due to rare spinal cord condition a few weeks ago. That's a lot of loss for one person to deal with IMHO. No children, and remaining Sheltie is 13 and got depressed after losing her life long buddy. Koko's breeder decided to find the right home for one of Koko's sons, Boomer, age 5. I hooked them up and Sunday Boomer came home with her.
We went over to visit and I took a few pics.
