Yes, and this is my opinion, only
When you have to supress play and excitement (gosh knows Ellie is FULL of that, I think lol) unwanted behaviour pops up with frustration in other places.
So yes, I agree with the others with the ouch ouch ouch method, for sure.
But I definitely WOULD reward her for the structured walk and let her spent that pent up energy by letting her RIIIIPPPP somehow... an outlet even training new tricks or something.. new focus etc?
Get her to chase/bite the ball. tug toy, etc.... if she bites you, game over and ignore behaviour. Maybe that helps make her tired AND content
You and I were posting at the same time. I like your opinion because it matches mine! LOL!

The only time Ellie snapped at our kitty is when she came home from the board and train. She didnt like anyone for a few days, lol. It's hard to be good. It did occur to me that the structuerd walk was making her frustrated. She offered me her baby when I took the leash off and after giving her the loving, but I had to get ready. Guess she got frustrated. She is like magic on the walks, I guess I should give her a play reward. It's worth a try I think.
