Excited New Member from Ft. Worth Texas

Welcome, it sounds like a wonderful fur family both domestic and wild! I love the names of your fur kids!

Welcome aboard, Susan. Thanks for your nice introduction. Looking forward to hearing more of your sheltie and wildlife adventures.

Welcome from another Texan in the DFW area. My mom lives in FW, my dad is in Weatherford & I'm in Little Elm. I smell a North Texas Fall Sheltie get-together in Fort Worth coming.

Wow what a warm welcome!! I worked with the DFW Sheltie Rescue for years...prolly will volunteer again since I am not working. Everyone here seems incredibly awesome! I will definately become a premium member.
Am I allowed to talk about my Collies on here? Some boards only want you to discuss that breed. Let me tell you about Bonny Prince Charles!
This wee doggie is my velcro doggie. He makes every single step I make....if you want to find Chawie look for me. He sleeps curled up in the crook of my legs every night. What is amazing is that wee Chawie is the alpha with these 90 lb Collies....trust me they give Chawie a wide berth...I find the behaviour so funny!! If they get in his way etc. he just jumps at them like a Tasmanian devil....oh no...Chawie don't play!! He is the sweetest personality and honestly he is one of the best dogs I have ever owned. My other sheltie Meghann is at the rainbow bridge...we lost her in 2009 to severe autoimmune problems...we were with her when she passed at the Vets office...she felt no pain when being put down...we cried for days...still talk about her and have her pictures all over...I have my last 3 dogs cremated and in cedar boxes. I love them to be home where they belong.
Thanks for the welcome and I would love to get together with members in this area!! xoxoxoxoxox Susan

I meet up w/ a couple at the Plano Dog Park that helps with the DFW sheltie Rescue. They are the owners of Chip & Dale(I can't remember the owners names to save my life:rolleyes2:). And of course you can talk about your Collie. Many of us have pups other than Shelties. Here's my boys calmly playing:wink2: Max(Sheltie) & Fred(Papillon mix). Duh, I just now figured out your screen name. Go horns!

Welcome to the forums! I haven't been here all that long, but I've gotten some valuable advice over the past several months.

Looking forwards to seeing more of you here!

Welcome to the forums. One of my friends shows and raises Rottweilers as well as shelties. Want to know who rules the roost and it isn't the Rotts:wink2: It is her 14" 16 lbs sable female sheltie.

I have 3 shelties that live here- Justice, my sable heart dog. Best dog ever, he lives to please and make me happy.

Ember, his bi blue niece, who is about as anti Justice as you can get. Smart, independent, lives to make herself happy but will try her heart out for you if you explain it right.

Finally, Diva their Tri cousin, who is the comic relief of the bunch. Happy and fun and very driven.

I show Diva in obedience, rally and agility currently and she does comformation with her co owner. Ember also shows in agility and is retired from obedience for the most part unless I go to Canada or decide to do UKC. Justice did everything and is now retired. He is not a couch potato just doesn't trial. I have 2 other dogs I co own, Porter, Diva's son who decided he would like to be a Collie(as in size) and Jaime, a bi black boy who is working on his AKC CH.

I'm a veterinarian by trade to support my dogs habit.:smile2:

Welcome again.

Welcome! What a great intro, and I also love the names of al the furr kids. I have been here awhile, and I have learned so much. Since I joined prior to bring our first sheltie home I was able to read, read & read more.

I so miss seeing herds of deer,it is one thing I ddon't see often since moving to SC.
We are owned by a lab,Earnhardt (honorary sheltie here on forums). And also two males which are half brothers. The oldest is Trapp, the youngest is Jasper.
Last Sept,we rescued a double merle. Her name is Mia. She is deaf & blind.

And to make things even more joyful,we have a blind himalayen cat,her name is Bumper.
I do work full time in retail, but I almost always check in daily. (( I'm catching up BARB...!) I'm talking about posts by the way.
Can't wait to see pictures of your fur kids. I use shutterfly, and love it.You can set up a great website,as many have done.
I dabble in alot of things, but I have a passion for creating cakes. I attached my shutterfly URL,so you could take a tour thru.
