Favorite Shampoo and Conditioners

For those of you who have used the black on black-

Is it like a color shampoo? :uhoh: I don't know how to explain exactly what I mean. Like...is a shampoo that stains the fur with a black color?

I'm still not sure I made sense, but maybe somebody can understand my question anyway.

Fluffy is getting a rusty red color to the back and side of her ears. If you get the black on black shampoo on the white ruff does it stain the white ruff black?

No -- the shampoos are designed to bring out the best in that color. That said, I'd still be careful with the B on B. I use the W on W on all my furkids -- it brings out the highlights on the sable areas as well.

I bought the Chris Christensen bath package. It has day to day, white on white, after bath and ice on ice. I loved it. Bailey's fur looked fantastic after a bath.

I also use "the stuff". It's a spray detangler and leave in condition. It has an amazing baby powder smell. I use it every once in a while. It removes dirt and Bailey looks like she just had a bath. Her coat looks amazing for days after I use it. I actually like it better that CC's Ice on Ice.

I'll have to look at it. I love the smell of baby powder and will sprinkle it on my dogs ears and ruffs....they smell so good!

Going to the cottage this weekend for the Victoria Day long weekend. Boys are going to have big grooming! I've been so busy with my move that I just haven't had the energy! Indy looks like a rescue dog at the moment, but I least I managed to get his nails done last week!

I can't wait to have soft, silky dogs again!

Ooh, this looks good!

Barb, have a wonderful long weekend!!!

I bought two of those. I bought one because I wanted to know how good the CC conditioner was. I liked it. So now I have a mini bottle of white on white, the day to day conditioner, the ice on ice, and a few more.

Well, now I remember why I love Ice on Ice much.

Brought my grooming gear to the cottage. The boys didn't get a full bath just a rubdown with Show Off.

Then I go to pull out the Ice on Ice to begin the brush out....gasp! There is only a 1/4" left in the bottle. Time to ration. I pull out my backup product and I'm just not getting anywhere with Indy. The tangles and matts just not coming out. So I decide to risk using up the last of my Ice on Ice. Ta da! No more Sheltie pants!

Yep, I'm sticking with Ice on Ice, though I might try "the stuff" as well, since I have to place an order anyway

Any body ever tried CC's Coat Dressing?

Does it leave any kind of build up? It looks interesting. Especially as I'm trying to continuously tame Indy's fluffy coat. Anybody have other ideas for a fluff ball like him?

I bought a huge bottle at the Harrisburg dog show -- I agree, never want to be without it!

Jennifer used a coat dressing on Smudge once, but I don't think it was the CC. It was in a white bottle (it sprayed like it was hairspray, but it was coat dressing). It made his coat feel nice, but it didn't leave a funky build up. I think some grooming stuff you shouldn't use as often as others. Some stuff does leave a build up if you use it a lot.

yes I use it. works well for the show ring, would I use it on my dogs staying in the house....most likely not. I used it more when noah had his wild puppy coat and his fur on his hips was at a weird grow-out phase (IE I dont want to lie flat I want to stand straight up!). Worked well to keep it looking nice and orderly! Cant really comment about build up because I would only use it once before ring time so it wasnt like I was using enough of it to have a buildup.
