FERGY IS GROWING

FERGY doesn't give me many chances to take a different photo of him, Ants in his Pants lol
He was still for 10 seconds so I got this one.
Eight months old this past week. Hungry all the time and doesn't get fed in between meal time. Needs some more excercise but 100+ temperatures limits our outdoors with them other than their play yard. Height is right at 15" and weighs almost 34#.
He’s a beautiful boy! I love his markings!

I almost feel that posting in Puppies forum is out of date for me. lol
FERGY is growing into a picture of his dad. Smooth body shape, long and lanky, tall, shiny hair, curly hair, and growing an almost complete bristling white collar. Turning into a more loving pup especially for wife, he mostly ignores me except when he wants some rough housing. Laddie and FERGY are inseparable almost to a fault. Neither will go outside without the other and the best part is to see them loving on each other. Don't think we have ever had any Collies or Shelties perform in that manner.

Two of the happiest Shelties anyone could ever have as companions.

FERGY is becoming a sweet loving adult. His antics are both amusing and "where did he ge that!".

Notice: He has the leash connected to Laddie in his mouth. Laddie out-weighs Fergy about 2 to one.
FERGY leads him away from the ride-on mower or when we are in the woods cleaning leaves from the yard, he keeps Laddie from getting in the way.
Doesn't have hold of it all the time, just now and then to put the elder in whatever spot the "Younger" wishes him to be.
Probably as amusing as anything is the fact Laddie doesn't care. He just goes along with it.
Had a scare with Laddie last Sunday night. He was very sick for sure. Took him to clinic. They checked him over and decided he had most likely eaten something that wasn't good for him. He got a shot. Took him two days and some very special food and extra loving to see his tail wagging again. They were playing as usual this morning so guess he is alright. Had not been away from their fenced yard, we have no idea what he got into.
Everyone have a Great THANKSGIVING. I hear MERRY CHRISTMAS is back in vogue. We are going to enjoy this!

What a cute pair and for all who can make it happen Shelites love other Shelties. But another thing I noticed that is sooo familiar to me is that look both of them have toward you and the camera. Like whats next boss- they really do focus on us, all dogs do but Shelites are- it seems to me- much more attentive. Maybe it is a herders instinct. This morning my big guy piled on my lap on the couch and went to sleep. I had stuff to do but no way I was going to disturb that-- we had about 30 minutes and it was nice-- eventually I had to get up and get to work but sure enjoyed the time.
