FERGY IS GROWING

Using the glue for FERGY's ears is close to what we experienced with doing this little job a number of years ago.
Glue will only adhere to "hair" which is both good and bad. We used a product that was actually applying weight to the tips of the ears
instead of actually gluing. I remember it was messy and didn't work very well. So far the glue isn't much better. I am about ready to use some "rubber cement" I use on leather etc. Don't think there is anything in it that would hurt this little guy's skin.

I used hair extension glue for Fil. It was a major pain in the butt, but I felt was way worth it in the end. Many folks don't mind prick ears or hound ears, but I really wanted the nice tip!

They can get irritation easily on the skin of their ears if you glue skin to skin. It's best to avoid that. If you glue hair to hair on the side of the ear closest to the center of the skull it is pretty easy. Ours would last a couple of weeks usually.

Do keep an eye on your puppers if you do this. Brodie and our last doxie, Kooper, used to play rough... Brodie lost a patch of hair and was bald for a while when it got ripped out during play. I was a disaster with glue anyway and went back to taping.

Glued hair edges have been on a little over a week. They both came loose yesterday. We are going to leave them unglued for a couple days to see what transpires. He doesn't press them together in the center nor standing straight up.
BTW: New pillow/bed for him with egg crate shaped foam slab in the bottom 3 1/2". It is small for Laddie but he hasn't shown any interest in it. lol

Please forgive me for posting another photo of Laddie. We are so proud of him and how he has taken FERGY into his household with love and caring for his little brother.
FERGY is four months old, stands 13" tall and weighs 13 lbs. He is slowly becoming a lover and lap dog to my wife. Not all that much to me but I do get frequent puppy kisses now. They play at least four or five hours per day and maybe more. Settle down close to each other as long as Fergy will leave Laddie alone. They love to be in their outside compound where FERGY has begun to dig in the flower beds and pull loops from rugs we have lying around on the porch. Small sticks from the trees are fair game with him eating pieces off them some times. I tell him they may be a little rough on the way out. Wife had surgery today and will be laid up for awhile. They are missing her terribly.
BTW: His ears have stayed broken. Don't think we are going to need to do anything else with them.

Laddie is a handsome guy and a wonderful big brother. Fergy is getting into that coyote stage. Glad his ears are staying over. Sorry your wife has had surgery and needs to recover quietly; I'm sure she and the dogs will miss lap time tremendously.

Glad Laddie is being a good big brother. Fergy is growing up so fast. They are both adorable. Wishing your wife a speedy complete recovery. I bet her doggy reunion will be awesome. Thanks for sharing your pictures. :)
