I can’t imagine! When Piper was 2 and maybe a week after we moved he escaped the yard. I was in such a state I left the house without my phone or a leash. I ran down the street calling Piper...Piper...next block a construction worker asked me if I’d lost my dog...duh, what gave it away lol. Turns out the lady who delivers flyers found him wandering and took him to her home and tried to call me. I had to carry him 2 blocks home, I was very happy I found him. I then made my yard escape proof:ROFLMAO:.

PELL IS FOUND!! At 3:15 this morning, Donna got him back. Some horrible people caught him as soon as he got loose, and kept him waiting for Donna to offer a reward. He's fine and Donna is beyond relieved. Today is Day 16 since he went missing.

I saw the facebook post this morning and was so relieved. That story is horrible! What despicable people. I wish she could press charges...or at least sue them for all the lost time and money trying to find this poor dog. The worst is she let the dog go, then said I found her she is over there. What the heck! Anyway, very relieved that Pell is safe and in her mom's arms despite these horrible humans.

Thank heavens Pell is finally safe back with Donna!! At some point the heartless greedy people who took him to get a reward should face some kind of justice, but right now I suspect all that Donna wants is to get home with her precious boy. A happy ending to 16 truly nightmarish days.

I didn't post the whole story here because it's not mine to tell, but yes it is horrible and I hope they can prosecute the people who took him minutes after he got loose. 16 days of false leads (many planted by them), sleepless nights, misery and worry that could have been avoided. I know the police were actively involved in the search and were great. I hope they can do something to punish these people. For now, I'm beyond overjoyed that he's back with Donna where he belongs.

Absolutely elated for Donna. What a physically and mentally exhausting ordeal for her AND Pell. The story could not have had a better ending for either of them.

I am glad to hear that the police were helpful. It's hard to comprehend just how many people were involved in this search. The resources used to try and locate Pell and bring him home safely. The dog snatchers definitely have to pay.....it's not ok what they did. Not ok at all.

Wonderful news that he was found but unbelievable and absolutely horrible that someone would just keep a dog when they know he’s missing and having searchers out everywhere! Absolutely despicable!

That was one of my first fears on the onset with no sightings!

Karma! They will pay eventually... if not in this world it will be the next! Of that I am sure!

Thank the good Lord that Pell is once again safe in Donna’s loving arms! The picture of them together with Pell in Donna’s lap as she is hugging him and him licking her face just made me break down crying! Happy tears!!!

If you are sure they were actively holding the dog (not speculation 100% sure) I would think the police might get them for false report if they chose on the 'tips'. Also if I was 100% sure I would put their name out there so others know who they are (neighbors etc.). Notice I repeatedly said 100% as both are life ruiners that make you as horrible or worse if you are jumping to conclusions.

Oh and I would NEVER accept a reward, the smile of the owner (family) and knowing the pup goes home is a huge reward.
