Freaking out here...

I asked him about Bot Fly and he seemed to know about them....he even flushed it out and saw no objects or things in the holes. I am just now going to worry about it until Thursday and hope he goes ahead and opens up the area to clean it out completely and get the dead tissue off. He said the holes were so big that he didn't need to lance it anymore than it is today and wanted to give 2-3 days on antibiotics. SO much came out of the holes, all serum and puss and he just kept flushing it. I will again ask him about bot flies on Thursday unless it looks worse to me tomorrow! He will be sick of me before this heals!

My vet said today he knew I was a great animal lover and would starve to provide for my pets! LOL I would too!

I feel so bad you are both going through this. I know how tough it is when they are sick. The good side is she is on antibiotics and alot was drained today. Hopefully she is on the mend.

I would starve for my pups too. Their needs always come before mine.

Wow!!!! I feel for you.....It has to be some kind of bite though. Be it bot fly, brown recluse or something of that nature. Hopefully, the antibiotics will take care of it since he removed alot of drainage. It makes me want to check all my dogs with a microscope! Hope she heals quickly.

Oh my goodness that looks awful! Totally get your topic title coz I'd totally be freaking out too! Hope Emma gets well soon and you figure out what the heck caused that!

Oh my. I can really understand why you are freaking out. I really hope the antibiotics nip anything more serious in the bud. Praying that she heals soon.

How awful for poor Emma and poor you! Those look like some dreadful wounds. I hope the antibiotics help and your vet is able to give you some answers on Thursday. It's tough too not knowing what caused it or where it came from. Sending good thoughts and pats to Emma for a quick recovery.

Wow...those are some pictures! I can't imagine it not being super painful. She's a true trooper. I'm guessing since dogs tend to hide their pain...this just has to be hurting her more than she shows.

I'm at a loss as to what could have caused it. Sure looks like puncture wounds to me... You may never know what happened. I'm just so happy for you both that you discovered it when you did!

Gentle pats and hugs to her!

Wanted to add my thoughts to those who have already chimed in. Hope it clears up and she's on the mend soon.
