Yes. like a wheelchair, stroller, wagon, 2 different types of booties for both rear and front paws, his own personal swamp cooler for warm days right in front of one of his many comfy dog beds, appetizers of wet dog food, dog treats for his medicine, being carried out to the backyard for quick potty needs, weekly trips to the beach, stroller walks 3x a week to a local lake with a breeze and shade, and mornings spent on Mom's bed so he can see me while I get ready (and not follow me all over).
 
Cooler here as well! All 3 are more active when it’s cooler. Me I just want to vegetate or bake! Today because I’d picked rhubarb yesterday I made 2 rhubarb crisps (one for my sister), a DELICIOUS rhubarb ‘pudding’ (has a cake like batter on top) and banana bread! I even made a treat for the dogs although they have to wait for it, a frozen banana yogurt and peanut butter mixture frozen in treat molds. They think it’s yummy!

So Gavin is having a bad day :( last night he couldn't sleep (or I couldn't sleep so I heard him moving around a lot, not getting comfy).
He hasn't been eating well so this morning he got hand fed his kibble.
Not moving much at all either, so he gets carried from room to room when I move

I am very sorry to hear Gavin is having trouble sleeping! When the are so restless it takes so much out of them! He is exhausted I am sure and so are you. When Mr Chance was at this stage I had a baby monitor in the family room where he was and I slept upstairs. Any time I heard him being restless it woke me up. I swear, at this stage it is like a mom with a new born. I eventually had to get meds for him to be able to s sleep through the night. That did help. I think I remember the vet saying it was a stage of dementia! The weakness is concerning. Virtual hugs coming your way… give Gavin a kiss from me!❤️
 
He is soundly sleeping now. Usually his bedtime gabapentin helps, and if he has issues I give him a 'calming' treat. but last night they didn't help. might need to use CBD treats more often.
I am thinking maybe he got hot? it has cooled down here and I lowered my fan settings. but when i woke at 3AM he was laying directly in front of one of the fans. so I will keep the fans up higher at night now. even if it means I am under 5 blankets instead of 3!

sometimes he has issues after our beach visits, even though it wasn't extra taxing as far as I could tell. he usually improves within a day or so, so I am hoping he is better tomorrow.
