Gavin's Never Ending Dotage (Part 2)

This morning we saw our first wheelie dog at funston! a 12 year old tiny Chihuahua. double front amputee (so front wheels).
and then we ran into a very portly mini aussie with a stroller on our walk. 39lbs! Gavin is barely 35. a very very portly mini aussie.. 13 years old.

Wow! That’s terrible! I saw a video recently of a Beagle that weighed over 60 pounds. It had been surrendered to a rescue. With veterinary care they were able to help it lose a huge amount of weight. It couldn’t walk more than a few steps.

Had a night of unending diarrhea :( no idea what is could be as his evening poop was fine. then every 2 hours we had either liq1uid or soft serve. poor guy. neither of us got much sleep. seemed over by 8 AM. so no food for a while and see what happens.
lots of laundry to do...his dog bed covers weren't very pretty.

we shall see......he hasn't had any issues since around 6AM. Since we don't really go anywhere where he interacts with other dogs, I doubt he could have picked something up. there was no vomiting, so that's good. It's a learning experience with Gavin eating less and usually only once a day. But I don't freak out if he goes without food for a day any more.
