I haven't posted in quite a while but have been following along with your posts on Gavin. I just wanted to echo what the others have said, that there was never a dog more loved and cared for than Gavin. You always put his needs first and did what in your heart you felt was best for him. A dog couldn't ask for more that what you have given Gavin - a wonderful loving full life. We and all living things come to an end at some time, we just go on knowing that we will be reunited in the very end. Know that Gavin loved and appreciated all you did for him and that his poor body just couldn't go on anymore, but his love will be in your heart forever. I pray that the wonderful times you shared together comfort you during your grief. Be easy on yourself and know that we are all thinking of you and crying with you as we know how devastating the loss of a dear beloved pet can be. There is a saying that you can judge a person by how they take care of their animals - by that rule you are without a doubt a great and wonderful person.

Oh Cindy, my heart breaks for you and your wonderful boy. Both of you have fought such a courageous battle. Gavin couldn't have asked for a more loving Mom...he was so deeply blessed during his time here on earth. I know that the days, weeks and month ahead will be hard and I pray that in time all the precious memories Gavin leaves behind will bring you some comfort.
