I think Daisy get a good diet. Shes on Wellness Puppy and will switch to Innova EVO or TOTW when 1 year old.
My gf's cocker spaniel gets her anal glands clean because we can smell the fish like smell. The cocker is on same diet as Stitch Innova EVO and TOTW and when a puppy she got Wellness Puppy too.
Well I hope Daisy doesn't need her glands cleaned in the futuer.
Well I wasn't thinking in the sense of getting her groomed by bringing Daisy there, just wanted her to get used to being at the groomers.
Is the Dermmel loud? I know some dogs don't like those sounds like clippers. Is there something else that cuts the nail instead of grinding it down?
There are regular nail clippers - some dogs hate them because of the pressure on the nail, plus if you ever get the quick even ONCE they go skittish every time you pull them out.
The dremmel does take a few days to get used to it. I started by just putting it in front of them. Then I started to touch the dremmel to their feet, but not turned on. Then I turned on the dremmel behind my back and squeezed their paws with my hands. Gradually I worked up to just holding the vibrating body to their paws, and then finally to start to grind the nails themselves, starting in very short spurts...e.g. 1-2 seconds per nail then moving up to the full grind.
I still find that each dog reacts different. Bacca does not like his front paws done, and Indy does not like his back. So I tend to cycle around and do each 4 paws twice - so that I don't spend too much time in any one spot that is uncomfortable for them.

I think the dog was laughing at me.
...Thank goodness it was the dyson so first bit of hesitation it shuts off...whew disaster adverted....than 2 days later I was dremmeling Six's nails and Noah was next to me attacking a tennis ball, well he got a bit too excited with the tail wagging (and too close to me) and his tail got wrapped in the dremmel
I couldnt stop apologizing to him all day!
