Hartley has mucus in stool. Coccidia?

Hartley wants to say thanks to everyone for their love and concerns. He slept most of the day yesterday after we gave him his first dose of meds, but had a few 30 minutes puppy bursts, full of Zoomies and leaping belly flops on his big round dog bed. took him out in the yard a couple times and had him in his pen with mesh top. (twice this week Hawks have flown straight down into the yard after birds Scarey sight I must say with 3 1/2 foot wingspans) :eek2:

He has had no more Diarhea and has not vomited either so I am hoping these meds continue to work for him.

I finally was able to sleep 6 hours lastnight. :sleepy: Here's a pic of my little darling.

Ahhh ... sleeping puppies are so cute!!! I have had a busy holiday weekend and have not been online much so I am just getting caught up with this thread. So glad Hartley is doing much better!

Hugs to you both!!!

Hartley was doing well all day and his stool looked great this morning. Around 5:00 he walks over to the corner and vomits!

Was it connected to his medication dose? The liquid has a very strong taste and vomitting is a common side effect from the Flagyl. The emerg. vet that we saw gave us the capsule version for this reason (they are super tiny). If it is connected to med. dose times perhaps this would be worth talking to your vet about tomorrow....just a suggestion since he seems well in all other ways. :hugs
I am sure you are already doing so but small frequent feeding might be easier on his poor little tummy right now. Hopefully just a little hiccup in his recovery and the fact that his is having normal stools and zoomies is really good :smile2:

His med was given at 10 am and he had a small meal prior to it and 2 samll meals prior to vomiting. I had him eat another small meal prior to having his night time dose and he held it down. Hi morning stool was formed but not as firm as I would like it. No more vomiting since 5:oo episode.

That is a pictures of a heaven sent angel.:hugs

Hugs to you little Hartley, get well soon ok!! Sending a big hug to you as well Dawn,I will catch up with you later by phone.

Those :sleepy: pics are so cute!! Make the most of it because before you know it the only pictures you'll be able to get are blurry ones as he speeds around!

Hope all goes well tomorrow for you both :hugs

Fingers and paws are crossed that Hartley has had a good day and is sleeping soundly just like his pictures. He is such a precious little furball. :hugs

Hartley had a great day! he was fine this morning when we got up full of energy and ate with no issues at all. I had an MRI at 11:00 so instead of taking a chance and exxposing him to more germs at the vets my neighbor cmae and kept an eye on him for me. I decided to just wait to take him to the vet tomorrow for his puppy wellness visit as previously scheduled. I stopped at Petsmart on the way home and grabbed a few more teething toys and a crate mat by Kong for the screened room. It is made of a nice sturdy luggage type fabric. Here he is with all of his goodies.

Oh he has also learned to sit on command and is learning to walk on his leash in the backyard.
