We (Sherlock and I) are new to the forum. This is our first day, and my first Sheltie. We had a Samoyed for 16 years and she passed two years ago. We swore we would not go through that again.

He was born July 5th, so he is 4.5 months old. He is sable, white and black and is a bundle of joy. We know virtually nothing about Shelties, we just bought him after seeing him playing in a pet store. I am planning to scan the site and learn what I can. I have lots of questions but I guess the best place is to find the right topics and ask there.

Welcome from Canada. Can't wait to see pix. You'll never regret letting a Sheltie come into your life. Just be careful - they are like potato chips, better in multiples.

Welcome from Southern California too! I'm owned by three of these wonderful little furballs myself. Two sable/white, and one bi-black. Gee...when I read where you're from, my first thought isn't necessarily "sheltie," it's CRUISE! :biggrin2: Been there three times and never saw any other part but the cruise port ;-).

Congrats on your first sheltie, and let me be the first to congratulate you on your second. It's just a matter of tiiiiimmmmmee:yes:

Welcome to Sheltie Nation! There are a bunch of great breeders in Florida. And -- lucky you -- the American Shetland Sheepdog Association is having their National Specialty Show in Kissimmee there in March. If you can go even for a day or so, you will see and learn so much!
