Hello from Texas

She is very cute. I love her nose. Half white and half sable. Very unique.

I think I remember her picture on sheltie nation. The picture of her with her to her chest? Cute girl

thanks, Ashley i think its what you call shaping. i was just watching her and she rolled on her side with all fours out and i clicked and then just kept that up and then she started throwing herself on the floor. I was actually working towards play dead but when she was so excited and just threw herself down i decided on 'bang'. I have some of her videos on youtube of her training the channel is called belladorasheltie all one word if you get a chance to look.

That is how I taught Justice too. Then one day did a spin before he fell and I like that so I marked it. Then he added a bark. Marked that. Lastly he rolled over on his back with his feet in the air. SO I marked that. Took about 6 months to get the final product of "bang" spin, bark, fall, then roll onto back.

Sounds like your off to a good start training.:smile2:

That is one seriously darling baby girl you have there! :wink2: Welcome to Sheltie Nation, Mary and Bella!!

Say, Michele, go to the third page of Mary's pictures and check out her cakes!! :eek2: Mary, are you a professional baker??

Hi, I have been reading the posts for a few months now and seeing all the great photos on Sheltie Nation and have submitted a few of Bella. So I just want to say Hi officially and say how wonderful it is to see so many sheltie lovers and too have such a knowlege base at my fingertips. Thanks to every one of you and i look forward reading and participating as well.

Bella is 4 months old today, she is a shaded sable. She is just finding her voice (yay), she is extrememly independant and bright. Housebreaking has gone well, we are in the home stretch for sure, she is crated "affectionately known as bella's room"
We have been using the clicker training and she has several tricks down such as "bang" and fall down, she can wave, and she goes right and left and knows left paw and right and of course the sit, stay and down. She attended puppy kindergarten and there are no strangers to her, human or k-9. We are hoping that remains. Ok so thats enough. I will go back to reading posts now and thanks again. Mary from Rowlett Texas
