Hill's I/D or Medi-Cal Gastro... we have to switch...

Sooooo... I gave in and gave the Medi-Cal Gastro a shot... it's working great. Almost immediately we were back to normal poops and better yet... none in the kitchen!! :biggrin2:

So, I guess we'll stick with this diet of homemade chicken & rice and Gastro for a while and keep our fingers crossed that one day we can switch him to raw.

Great News!
I am glad the Medi-Cal Gastro is working great. And that he is back to the normal poops. I agree with you, and sticking with the homemade chicken and rice, too. I say stick with whatever combination is working! Having normal poops is so important and will be so much easier on his system. The little guy continues to be in my thoughts and prayers.
And my Mally says,"woof-woof".

awhile ago I gave Belle a California Natural Lamb & Rice treat bar and did not react well to it at all so I took them back to the pet store.

Um Cal Nat. is a very limited ingredient food. Look at was is in it and what is not in the medi-cal-gastro and that is probably your food intolerance. unless something else is going on but in that case it shouldn't have resolved with food change.
 
Can't offer any suggestions I'm afraid as we only have Hills here. I/d is the one Yogi is on for a month after his op. It smell foul but I prefer it to the w/d. Can't wait to get him onto proper food again.

I'm glad you have found something which is working for Miko now. I often think of him and how you are getting on..
