How Do You Get Your Sheltie Groomed?

I have the CC pin brush (16 mm) and i love it but am thinking of getting the T brush later this spring (at a dog show). I think they're the same, just the T brush is a different style of handle. What I like about the CC is they don't scratch the skin (try to run a different brush on your arm, it will scratch you. This can lead to dandruff and irritated skin on your dog), I can do this with my CC and it doesn't leave a mark.
The undercoat brush (is it like a rake? With widely spaced teeth?) is better for when they're losing coat in the spring or when blowing their coat. I find slickers tend to pull the hair out causing a bit of discomfort when brushing. I use a slicker more on the legs and the pin on the body.
For scissors I use a thinning scissor on the ears ( I use one with 47 teeth, don't want anything too chunky) and just a good scissor for the paws (I use a small scissor, not pet but good quality, cheap dulls fast).

She's usually fine with me brushing her but will protest when I brush her pants due to the pulling.

Yes, I've bled occasionally when I do their legs! You can imagine how they feel when it's used (I only use it on the legs, it does a good job of getting the fine white fur out), I'll probably get a small CC slicker (they do have good brushes) this spring as well. We have a good company here in Canada that sells Chris Christensen but they're in Alberta but they travel to a couple shows here so I can save on shipping.

Got my Chris Christensen T brush today. I really love it. Pulling hair off this brush is so much more comfortable than doing that from a slicker brush. I’m also glad that I didn’t choose the mini version. The size of the regular version is perfect.

Good to see a groomer on Youtube who actually knows how to brush a double coat. The number of 'how to clip a sheltie' so they look ridiculous videos by groomers on youtube is scary, a good example of why it's risky to use a groomer. I like that she's a Plush Puppy user - I love the Plush Puppy products, esp the Seabreeze oil which is great for covering smells, freshening coat, putting in spray bottles, for sponge baths and light rinses and to give an all over shine, and it lasts forever.

Btw - for a really great, show finish to a coat you can't go past a Boar Bristle + Nylon brush (a decent one not a cheap Priceline human one). I did have a big white Mason Pearson one but it disappeared at my mum's so now I have a Japanese one which is almost as good.
