How to prevent car sick from new puppy ?

I am going to pick my new puppy home this weekend, and somebody told me , i need to try my best to prevent car sick from my new puppy, if he gets car sick the first time, i will get trouble in the future to take him travel.

I looked after a sheltie of a friend of mine before, he got car sick.

With Bits and Layla, we just put them in the back seat on a soft blanket. They slept most of the way. The trick is to leave them alone...

We drove home with Zak in his crate, he whimpered some but then went to sleep. At first he did not like all the turns but once on the highway he was fine. A few times in the car in my lap he would wiggle. Then after a week or so I started taking him for short rides in the neighborhood with a few treats.
Right now he is in the front seat but soon he will be wearing a seatbelt harness and be on the back seat with Maggie.
 
Bits used to get horribly carsick. Layla would if she'd eaten before. We just didn't feed them before a long drive and also used Plush Puppy Peace and Kindness drops.
 
What works for me is simple: own a dog car seat! I have a Lookout car seat, and Wyatt loves to intently observe his surroundings in it! Because the seat is so high, he has a perfect "rooftop" view. Think about it - have any of you ever read a book while driving? Not fun for me; I become extremely carsick and understand how dogs may experience similar feelings!
 
Amazing for his first day in new home, not any barks, quiet in his crate at night himself, pee and poo on the washable pad, but still with few accidents in his crate:lol:

I believe he knows how to live himself when we all out to work.
 
Zoey gets carsick whenever I'm driving her by myself... if my boyfriend drives and I hold her, she's fine.

I've noticed that when I'm by myself driving, she'll jump on my legs then just proceed to throwing up. I never make a big deal out of it but it's not too cool :(

I guess I need to try to see how she'll react if she's in the back. My problem with putting her in the back is that she's far for me to access and I'm scared she mught try to jump to the front and hurt herself :(
