you can try making fun of any situation which seems treatening for your pup... your reaction to his upset might be feeding into situation....
when Che was a baby he did not like going for walks... sometimes we drove few blocks away and walked home.... sometimes hubby will walk the pup and I will run ahead so he can chase me... also I played as " sheep substitute" for Che and use to sing silly children songs for those games...
dogs respond well to high pitched voices and lots of silly activities so short of doing cartwheels you can condition your pup inside of the home= some songs or silly behavior means fun- every time when he runs into scary situation you can redirect him into playful mood....

I've talked to her about my living style and tell her about my apartment situation before. She said it's fine because many of her clients do well without backyard.
And when problem comes, she told me since I dont' have a backyard, it is really hard for my dog to adjust blah blah blah...
I've already enroll my dog to the puppy kindergarden (it start May 1). But I do insist the trainer to come over and take a look of my living style, and see what I can do best for my dog. I understand fear can be really difficult to handle, that's why I want the trainer to come train ME to properly handle my dog when he is stress.
It sounds like you are doing all of the right things.
Please keep us posted on how things go.

When I first got Mya, she was only 12 months old and never had been introduced to anything in her environment except being in a kennel for her first year.
The first time I took her out on the leash, she thought everything was out to get her. I have never seen a dog so freaked out. She was so stressed about being in a new environment that she didn't eat for the first week.
IT took about 3 months where I mentioned about going for a walk and she gets so excited.
I agree with the others, (even I didn't do it with Mya) take your puppy to classes and get him used to being with other dogs and people.
Sassy, my former sheltie, was three months old when I got her. I introduced her to anything and everything and made sure it was a pleasant experience for her. It made her into a very self confident dog.

I truthly believe in my boy and I think he have a great soul. I'm just constantly questioning myself whether I'm giving him a good home or not (especially after each time I contact my breeder) Because everytime he freaks out, I'm heartbroken.

Snwong, stop questioning yourself, you are doing great! You realized that there is a problem and you went looking for an answer! That is what a good puppy parent does. I wouldn't have the problems that I have with Jake now if is other owners had socialized him properly. We socialized Luna as a pup and she is a happy, confident dog now.
You are getting great advice just always remember baby steps build your pup's confidence. Keep up the good work!

puppy class and a trainer- you are on the right path

I am still shaking my head over the "wait a year" recommendation.
Our puppies go outside for brief intervals in our backyard at week three, weather permitting. The prospective new families are welcome to visit starting at week 2. We invite friends with well-behaved children over so that the pups can meet kids. They are set up near the TV at week 3 so that they are exposed to a lot of different sounds. Every day we handle, turn, play, and sing to the puppies. I do a lot of fingering/feeling/touching of their ears, mouths, bellies, and paws so that they will be cooperative with vets. I can't imagine keeping puppies inside confined to a pee pad for a YEAR. That just completely blows my mind!

No matter what, I totally not agree to confine my dog in the house for a year. I think it is very not humane~~
I can't wait for the trainer to come and they puppy class~~
here is the pic when he was outside~ He is very happy when I run with him, that's why I rather woke up at 5:30am to take him out and let him use to things. Because I know I have to help him cope with the stress, so he can enjoy outside as much as he can~
