Yes, going out early, keeping him busy and stimulated is awesome. Get a clicker for training.... I rally believe it makes them more confident because they are always waiting for a click and treat, lol

Hi everyone, I just wanna update you all on Roy B.
The trainer came today, she said she is not 100% sure a shy boy like Roy B will come out his shell. Since I've already enroll him to a puppy class, I asked whether it would help if I attend one more to socialize him (that means 2 class in a week). She said she cannot determine until she see how Roy B do on the puppy class. She is kind enough to let him enroll the second class by just giving the administration fee because she want to help him out too. Although she mentioned about re-home him, but I want to try more things and I don't think I could leave him.
After I walked her to the car, I bring Roy B down to the park go potty, she even stop her car and observe how Roy B act with other dogs, and she stop a baby husky to play rough with my dog. And teach me when to walk away with him when other dogs acting too much.
I'm soo glad to find her to help my boy and I really hope this will work out.

After a one time meeting, your trainer told you that they don't think that your 6 month old puppy that you just got will not come out of his shell?
Now I think that you not only got a bad breeder, but you are also getting bad advise from your trainer.
I think that with patience and time you will have the perfect puppy. Just take "baby steps" and keep working on everything that people are telling you to do on here.

OH~~ let me re-phrase it (because I rush to the internet to update you all after my boy in the crate). She said she cannot determine when he will come out of his shell just by one meeting, she has to observe him in the puppy class to see what else we can do on him.
And I will keep working on everyone advise in here~ I read a post about putting some peanut butter on a long spoon so he will follow me, I use that to lure him into his scary area and I will keep trying that.
If she cannot help my boy, then I'll try another trainer to see what is best for him. I honestly cannot leave him~ :sadsmile:

Sounds like a great start. That's awesome that you are obviously doing everything you can to make little Roy comfortable. I think that he is young enough to come around. He may take some time, but with your support, I know he will become more and more comfortable.
