I HOPE it's just something he got hold to in the yard

As someone who raised a puppy that had seizures from a young age, I learned that duck or lamb in a quality food with no byproducts or questionable ingredients (soy, corn etc.) can make a big difference. Also no chemicals for flea and tick prevention. Once Blaze gets through this, there are several threads and people here who can give you information on avoiding future seizures, depending on what the vet determines the cause was.

I am so sorry you and your precious puppy are dealing with this. I hope he continues to improve today and is home with you very soon! Thanks for the updates...you know we are praying for him!

I don't have any answers, but you and Blaze and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

And kudos to you for trusting your instincts and bugging your vet.

Wishing you and Blaze a speedy recovery. So glad that you listened to your heart and "bugged" your vet.
Prayers and warm thoughts for you and Blaze.

Thanks all for wishes of recovery. Breeder (actually has been in business for years) is quite concerned too. (The other pups are doing fine and I know that there is a health guarantee but Blaze is my baby. He was and is my first choice. I CAN'T lose the little guy.) Husband says that we won't. Although still needing his oxygen cage, the emergency room vet. says that she was able to reduce the amount of oxygen Blaze needs and he is eating--mushy canned stuff after I just got him on hard kibble (oh well). Tomorrow she said that they will do another set of x-rays to determine how that water on the lung is doing.

Blaze looks so pathetic in his oxygen cage with an IV and his little blue Elizabethan collar (which I saw has already made mats in his silky ruff.) Me? Am spent and have actually done nothing (except worrying and that doesn't count.)

Thank you for taking the time to update us. Hopefully he will be doing better tomorrow. Hugs.

Good signs that Blaze is eating and needing less oxygen now. I really feel for you, and am keeping you and Blaze in my thoughts and prayers. Thanks for the update.

Thanks for the update on Blaze. It's great to hear they were able to reduce the oxygen and give him solid, if mushy, food. Here's hoping the water on the lung has gone away.

It sounds like Blaze is making progress....good news! Hopefully today will be even better and he'll be on his way home soon. I can imagine how tough this is on you. Once you know he's on the road to recovery, do take some time to relax if you can. How lucky Blaze is to have an owner who was so observant and got him the care he needed!

Thanks for the updates...we are all thinking of you and sending good thoughts!

So glad to read there has been some progress for little Blaze. I know there is still a ways to go and am sending best wishes that the recovery will move along well and your little boy will be home soon.

You must be beyond exhausted. It is so draining emotionally to have a little one sick. Take care of yourself too...Blaze will need you to be rested when he comes home and gets back to his silly puppy antics and zoomies.

Trini :hugs
