Introducing... Oshie!!

Thanks for the idea, Mom2Melli, we decided to go with light the lamp :biggrin2:

Here's Oshie's 4 week old photo. I can't wait to see him again in 2 more weeks :biggrin2: I also got a video of him nibbling on the breeder's jeans while she was making food... typical sheltie, no patience for food. There's also another video of him sitting in the food bowl and eating which is something his big brother, Ruutu did often. I love him already

That is one wide blaze! Glad I could help with Light The Lamp -- it sounded good when I read that it meant GOAL.

Best wishes with the cutie -- I get to call him my "nephew" since I suggested the name. Hee Hee. Can't wait to see my nephew up grow up and SCORE!

Yep he definitely has a wide one!! His sister from the previous litter looked similar to Oshie growing up but she had more eye make up. You can totally lay claim to calling him your nephew :biggrin2:

 him and the blue female are about the same size. Oshie was born at 12 oz, and was a pound 3 days later. rest were 8-9 oz born. I haven't heard his weight lately, but he eats like a little piggy. Either way, we still want him  My guess is he'll stop at 15-16. We'll know better once he's 6 weeks old.

We got to see Oshie last weekend, at age 6 weeks. It was a blast to see him and his siblings and play with them all. We got to let them outside to run around and play. When Oshie gets excited, he hops like a bunny to go attack his siblings. I can't wait to see how him and Ruutu play together, especially because Ruutu looks a lot like his mother.

Oshie has now played with a baby teeter (not so good at), a swing (loves!) and a tunnel (also loves!) Yesterday the breeder tried for the first time with leashes and she said Oshie was the only one who behaved properly, everyone else tried to back out and complained. Way to go my good boy :biggrin2:. He is already starting on potty trainings. She said as long as she lets the puppies out, they go outside. My husband is way excited to have his first dog to train since all of his dogs growing up were glued to his mom and she didn't train them. Little does he know, I'm still laying claim to Oshie, but he can do the training and shows.:o

And of course, more photos!! These were all taken at 6 weeks. It looks like he'll have one blue eye and one brown eye.

I never had a blue merle so it will definitely be a change to get used to the eyes . At 6 weeks he measured right at 8 inches which puts him barely in, so around 16. But, his big bro, Ruutu was 10 inches when we got him at 8 weeks, so I have a feeling Oshie will follow more his path, which Ruutu is now 17.75. On the other hand, Oshie isn't the biggest of the litter anymore, his one sister and his other brother are taller than him. I love playing the height game with shelties :biggrin2: We are way excited, just not sure how I feel about the late night freezing cold potties. :hide
