Is she to young for an aspirin ?

Early this morning about 1:30 am she woke us barking. My wife came down stairs and put a pee pad down on the other side of the kitchen for her and she did a large amount. We will see if we can get a sample before we take her to the vet at 11:30 am EST USA.

When my wife carried her out at 6:30 am she yelped when picked up. When she was put down outside she was fine. She ran around and did her business then stood guard over her poop. (she is a poop eater) She fights us when we pick it up. She will bite our hands or the small shovel we use.

If this was hip displeasure I don't she would be able to run around and do her zoomies. I will let you know what the vet says. I'm sure he will have to take X rays.

Wishing you all the best at your visit at the vet today. Poop is such a tempting thing !!What are you feeding ? Maybe carry some REALLY tempting treats and have her sit post poop and reward with treat. You need to win this war so she is not possesive with whatever she wants...hope you gat get a good diagnosis today.
 
We are back from the vet. Glad to say nothing serious. He took an X -ray and didn't see anything wrong with her hips or spine. Her tender spot is forward of her hips. He said it is a mussel strain. He gave her a shot for the pain. (now she thinks she is super dog again) He also gave us some pain pills and he wants us to call Monday morning to let them know how she is doing. She is in her crate now getting some rest. Thanks again for your concern and prayers.
 
Amber Lee is not doing well. We had to take her back to the vet this morning. We had to leave her there so they could give her med's via IV. The vet says amber is getting steroids. They don't like to use steroids because they are so strong and not good for there stomach . So amber is getting a med to protect her stomach and then the steroid. We should be able to pick her up later today.


The vet we saw today is amber's regular vet. Saturday was her day off. She thinks amber might have a pinched nerve. When amber got her shot on Saturday she did seem to improve but early Sunday morning she started crying again. She was in pain. She can only sit down out of shear exhaustion.

It seems like when it rains it pours. Tomorrow I have to have my left knee replaced. :fl
 
Poor Amber Lee and poor you. I guess the two of you will be recovering together. Healing thoughts sent your way.
