So, little Miss Willow has been wearing her harness without complaint. She is okay with dragging the leash about but don't pick it up unless you want a real-life cartoon show scene. Today we tried walkies in the back yard. The harness went on without complaint. The leash was clipped on the harness to drag behind. That was okay too.
However, the minute I picked up the loose end of the leash things went south in a hurry. She immediately tried to run rings around me. She didn't bark, didn't complain, she just ran around me like a whirling dervish. I'm trying to get her to stop with a treat but she's having a blast. I did manage to get her attention with a sit and a treat in a couple of minutes. Then we walked two steps, sit and treat, walk two steps, sit and treat. This ought to be an interesting skill to teach her. I've never had a puppy do that and I have to say it's very difficult to train a puppy when you can't stop laughing at them.
As I look at her snoozing in her bed, I can see she's running in her dreams. She's probably reliving the fun times with dad and the leash.
