Meadow has arrived

Good puppy stories are a dangerous thing. Like others here I get strong urges to get another before returning to sanity and just enjoying Willow as my constant companion. i would hate to mess up Willow's world if another puppy didn't work out as well as she has.
I worried about that too Glenn before I got Finnie. They've turned out to be the best of friends, more than I could've hoped for! I'm quite certain Willow would be the same, she's such a sweet girl. You'll know when your ready.

Yesterday Meadow turned 12 weeks old. We're going to try measuring her again. She was about 10.5 inches at 11 weeks. She is doing great, with each passing day she wants to be just like the big dogs. She gets a tiny bit more freedom once she's gone potty, we let her run up and down the hallway with the other two maniacs. She is right in there, gets knocked over sometimes but gets right back up. She initiates play with both of them, barking, play bowing, jumping at/on them. Most of the time it works.

I managed, through a friend in my dog club, to find a trainer who is doing some private lessons for puppies, combined with small play groups. It wasn't cheap but I think it will be worth it. I've been lazy about doing training with her, although I did put her harness on her to get her used to it, and she did not care a bit. Ran around with it on like it was nothing, what a good girl. Now I need to attach a leash for her to drag around. But honestly nothing much seems to faze this girl, which is awesome. She had a fun playdate with a 4 year old girl (human) and did great, and today has a date with a small one year old mixed breed cutie.

So grateful the pet stroller allows us to get her out daily as well, but she is growing impatient to be out on her own feet. One more month to go.
