Mickey update

Phew! I have been thinking of you and Mickey this morning and wondering how the little guy is doing. So glad to hear he is on the mend. I do hope you all will catch up on your sleep now. It's hard not to second-guess yourself sometimes on decisions you make for your furkids when it involves pain and/or invasive procedures but the end result is hopefully worth it. Sounds like for Mickey it certainly was. :hugs

Thanks for the great news about Mickey, Trini! It's wonderful to know that all your lost sleep and hard work paid off. Hope those squeaky toys are getting a workout very soon! :hugs

WAHOO Mickey, WTG! Thanks so much for the update, Mickey ran across my mind just yesterday and I wondered about his progress. Sounds like things are slowly returning to normal in your household and Mickey will be "taking care of the babies" in no time . . . and you will get to sleep in. See, win-win! :hugs

Outstanding news!!

CONGRATS Trini and Mickey!!!

Wonderful news that Mickey is up to 75% healed in this short of a time...
Your dedication towards his recovery definitely paid off.

Look forward to the email that gives us the 100% ALL CLEAR!
Slow and steady as he goes...
BLESS YOU for being the best sheltie MOM EVER!
We know your little boy understands what you have done to help him.:hugs

Hope you get back to your normal sleep routine soon!:sleepy:

Gloria and 'The Boys'

Thanks so much everyone...I can't wait until we are past the limited activity period and I can watch my little Mickey racing after chipmunks and squirrels again. Two more weeks of the E-collar, but bless his heart he has taken it in stride and no longer fusses about it. He is such a little trooper...got to love his spirit. I will never understand why his owners dumped this little guy in a shelter with no history/med records/nothing...only info they gave was his name. Their loss, our gain. :smile2:

How are your boys doing, Trini?

Hi Darci, both Mickey and Dante are doing great. Mickey finally got his E-collar off a week ago and he is a happy camper...his hair is growing back nicely...already about 1/3" long. Two more weeks of gradually increased activity and then total FREEDOM to take on the pesky rodents who have decided life is safe in the dog yard. I predict a couple of them will be dispatched to rodent heaven if they don't change their complacent attitude really fast once the boys are back in full swing. The only plus the rodents have going for them is that Mick only has 3 teeth and Dante doesn't have many more! LOL
